The Baroque bed, as its name implies is very florid and ornate. Constructed of carbon steel for stability and years of everyday use, this bed is certainly a statement piece that will need a large room to contain it. The posts are Herculean, especially since they’re topped with large cast finials and sturdy feet. The headboard grill is adorned with a large center casting and supported by 60 in. high posts. The 36 in. footboard grill has a concave design that dips in the center and also supported by 36 in. posts. There’s also large sloping side rails that are as fancifully decorated as the grills to provide full support to the mattress and box spring (sold separately). The elaborate 4-step Gilded Slate finish starts with a black base and hand-applied coat of mottled translucent white paint to provide a bluish hue, highlighted with gleaming gold. This unit measures 66 in. (H) x 67 in. (W) x 90.75 in. (L), includes a headboard grill and posts, footboard grill and posts, side rails, instruction sheet, and hardware bag with everything needed for assembly. The bed comes with a 10-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
